Pacific Air Lines Fairchild F-27 N2771R (c/n 43)
Pacific were doing so well with their California routes that in 1959 they ordered six (later
augmented with another six) F-27s new from Fairchild. Here's the second one soon after
delivery at LAX waiting to be towed to the gate for another run to San Jose. This aircraft
passed to Air West upon the formation of that company in 1968.
